About this product
Care for suitable solid softwoods inside your sauna with LIVOS MELDOS 264. This clear impregnating oil enhances the natural grain of cedar, pine and fir with a clear to slightly honey-toned finish. Confirm the wood species and surface with your sauna maker before treatment.

- For compatible solid softwoods. Suitable woods include cedar, pine and fir. Verify that your particular interior sauna surface is recommended for this treatment.
- Clear, grain-enhancing finish. The clear to slightly honey-toned oil can deepen the natural color of the timber. Test a small prepared area before applying it to the whole surface.

Check your sauna’s wood and surface
MELDOS is intended for solid softwoods such as cedar, pine and fir. It is not a universal finish for every sauna interior. Bench woods such as aspen or alder are hardwoods and fall outside this stated softwood use. Confirm the exact species and recommended treatment with the sauna and oil manufacturers.
Some sauna surfaces are intended to remain untreated. Do not add a wax or other topcoat unless it is specifically recommended for the selected surface.
Apply and allow complete drying
Prepare clean, dry, suitably sanded wood and remove dust. Test a small area to check absorption and the effect on the grain.
Follow the supplied instructions for coats, removal of surplus oil, ventilation and complete drying before sauna use. Time between coats is separate from the final drying time; do not assume the sauna is ready to use immediately after recoating.
